Lord Elgin Tank

Dating to 1941, this sweet little Lord Elgin tank was a mess when it came to me. The original dial was nearly illegible, the case and movement were filthy, the crown was worn out, as was the blue plastic crystal. It was also fitted with an incorrect second hand. I sent the dial out to my refinisher, who did an outstanding job of recapturing the dial’s original beauty. In addition to the dial refinish, I was fitted the correct plastic replacement crystal, fit a correct second hand and new crown, and polished the case. Once serviced, the 21-jewel Grade 556 movement ran beautifully. Properly maintained, this watch will last another lifetime.
